Human Ear Model - Medium

An enlarged model of the ear, separating outer, middle and inner regions. Pinna, ear canal, eardrum, ossicles and cochlea are all identifiable.

How it works

1. Start at the pinna and follow the ear canal to the eardrum
2. Show the three ossicles passing vibrations inward
3. End at the cochlea, where sound is converted to nerve signals

What students learn

• Identify outer, middle and inner ear structures
• Explain how sound vibrations reach the cochlea
• Link hearing to the role of the auditory nerve
